Ophelia Harutyunyan is an Armenian fiction and documentary filmmaker sharing her time between Armenia and the US. Her films have played at Venice, Sundance, SXSW, TIFF, Tribeca, Clermont Ferrand, and other film festivals and have been distributed by HBO, NEON, Amazon and France Televisions. Her films often feature female characters navigating the male, patriarchal society. She is currently in post production for a two-part feature documentary for HBO and in pre-production for a short fiction film to be shot in Armenia. She's a graduate of the Columbia University's Film MFA program and an alumna of the Berlinale Talents and La Biennale College Cinema programs.
