Nina Peller studied set and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, where she received an award from academy association. In 2012 she began working as an assistant at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. During her tenure there she also created her own designs for the theatre. Her first design at the Gorki was for Ersan Mondtag’s production of Sibylle Berg’s Hass-Triptychon – Wege aus der Krise, which premiered at the Wiener Festwochen in 2019. In the 2020/2021 season she is collaborating with Mondtag again, designing the set for his production It's going to get worse. In addition to the Maxim Gorki Theatre, Peller has worked at the Münchner Kammerspiele, HAU Berlin, Wiener Festwochen and DNT Weimar, in collaboration with Ersan Mondtag, Stefan Pucher, Christian Weise and Constanza Macras, among others.
