Mima Simic is a Yugoslav-born and permanently displaced writer, film critic, translator and political activist. Her essays on film earned her the Vladimir Vukovic Award for best Croatian film critic. Her work has been published in many Croatian, as well as international publications — magazines, books and online, as well as on Croatian Radio-Television. She lives between Berlin, Zagreb, and Topanga, CA.
