Mely Kiyak has written KIYAKS THEATER KOLUMNE for the Gorki for over 10 years. In 2022 they were published by C. Hanser Verlag under the title Werden sie uns mit FlixBus deportieren?.
Kiyak is a writer of books and dramatic texts. Most recently: Frausein (2020), Herr Kiyak dachte, jetzt fängt der schöne Teil des Lebens an (2024) and Dieser Garten (2024). She can also been seen on stage occasionally. At the moment MELY KIYAK HAT KUNST is hosted in the Gorki’s Studio Я. Her series »Gute Momente« is published on Zeit Online, »Meine Testamente« in the Swiss magazine Republik. Mely Kiyak has received multiple honours for her work including the Kurt-Tucholsky-Preis and Theodor-Wolf-Preis.
