Maximilian Popp

Maximilian Popp was born in Passau 1986. He graduated the Henri-Nannen-Journalistenschule in Hamburg and studied political sciences in Instanbul. Since 2010, he works for SPIEGEL, first as an editor in the Germany Department in Dresden, Hamburg and Berlin. Since 2016, he works in Istanbul as a correspondent. For his turkey-reports, he was awarded with the journalism price of the Southeast Europe Association.
