Maryna Vroda

Maryna Vroda was born in 1982 in Kiev. In 2007 she graduated from Kiev National Karpenko-Kary University of theatre, cinema and television. Since graduation she has worked as a screenwriter and as a film and television director. She currently lives in both Kiev and Berlin. Her short films, including The Oath and The Rain, took part in international film festivals in Eastern and Western Europe in 2008. Her latest film Cross (Cross Country) received a Cannes Festival Award in 2011 for best short film.
