Mary Margaryan is a theatre director and actress. She graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema. Over the years, she has staged four performances for both children and adults in various theaters across Armenia, including Woody Allen's The Floating Light Bulb, Anastasia Kovalenkova's The Stripy, and Mikhail Zoshchenko's I, Dear Kapochka, Nervous People, and Other Views.
As an actress, she has performed in several productions, such as The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World based on Gabriel García Márquez’s work, the documentary performances Download, Upload, Loveload and Planned Outage, among others.
She has further enriched her artistic vision by studying at the International Summer School of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia, named after Alexander Kalyagin, and the International Theater Acoustic School Laboratory under the leadership of Viktor Ryzhakov.
In 2022, her debut production earned her Artavazd award for Best Young Director of the Year. Currently, she works at the Ashtarak Drama Theater, continuously exploring new theatrical forms to create the most impactful experience for her audience.
