Marta Kizyma (born in Drogobych in1994) grew up in Ukraine before moving to Austria, where she studied at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (the former Konservatorium Wien). During her studies, she attended acting lessons by Dorothee Hartinger, Katja Jung, Markus Meyer, Christian Nickel and Dora Schneider. She also made guest appearances at the TAG Theatre, the Volkstheater and the WERK X Theatre. From 2015 to 2020, Marta Kizyma was a permanent ensemble member at the Burgtheater Wien and has worked with the directors Herbert Fritsch, Luk Perceval, Thorleifur Örn Arnarsson, Robert Borgmann, Franz-Xaver Mayr, Julia Burger, Oliver Frljic and Andreas Kriegenburg. In the 2020/21 season, she moved to the Schauspiel Frankfurt, where she was a permanent member of the ensemble until 2022. In addition to theatre, Marta Kizyma is a film and television actress. In 2023, she was nominated for the Award of the Deutsche Akademie für Fernsehen in the category »Actress — Supporting Role«. In 2023/24, Marta Kizyma will be on stage at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Der Untertan, directed by Christian Weise.
