Marco Michelle was born in Cairo in 1993. After he finished his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in Cairo, he worked for two years as a teaching assistant at the German University in Cairo. He then moved to Berlin to start the Bühnenbild und Szenischer Raum Master’s program. During his studies, he designed his first stage for the production of Die vier Himmelsrichtungen with the director Ulrike Sorge at Schauspielhaus Chemnitz in 2018. After he graduated with the degree in 2019, he started to work as a freelancer and also assisted the stage designer Johannes Schütz in Oper Frankfurt for the Production Orlando. Over the 2022 – 2024 seasons, he has been working with the musician Anthony Hüseyin as a set designer on various projects including PROJECT O and O shaped songs.
He is currently a fixed Set Design assistant at Maxim Gorki Theater since 2021 and worked with various directors including Oliver Frljić, Yael Ronen and as a Set designer with Murat Dikenci for the production ELLBOGEN.
