Lutz Knospe was born in Halle an der Saale in 1980. He studied cultural studies in Leipzig. During this time he was employed by the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
He has lived in Berlin since 2004 and worked as a cultural manager for the Shrinking Cities project, among others. He worked as a production manager with the design group anschlaege.de and the composer Patrick Frank. In 2007 he was a member of the curatorial team of the exhibition project Berlin / New York Dialogues, which was presented in New York as part of the festival Berlin in Lights.
Since 2008 he has been working mainly in the theater sector, first at Ballhaus Naunynstraße and since 2013 at Maxim Gorki Theater as personal assistant to the artistic director Shermin Langhoff.
In addition, he has been working as a photographer for several years and realizes music videos with Berlin musicians. He created the video for the staged reading Ich will kein Kleid mehr tragen directed by Can Fischer, which was performed at the Red Salon of the Volksbühne.
