Luna Zscharnt studied cinematography at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. During her studies she worked as a camerawoman, video artist, live director of photography and photographer on a variety of films and at different theatres including the Volksbühne Berlin, for Sasha Waltz at Radialsystem V, Berliner Ensemble and the Deutsches Theater Berlin. In her work she focuses on the intersection of cinema and theatre and, in particular, on establishing a female gaze. She has worked as director of photography on short films that have been screened at the achtung berlin Filmfestival and the Berliner Kurzfilmrolle from radioeins, among others. She also worked as a photographer for Andreas Dresen’s film Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush.
