Laura Jimenez Gonzalez, born and raised in 1986 in Bogotá, Colombia, is a performer and director. She studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bogotá and completed a Master's degree in Intercultural Conflict Management at the Alice Salomon Hochschule in Berlin. In Bogotá, she translated and directed »Waldemarwolf« by Michel Decar, staged »Hose Fahrrad Frau« by Stefan Wipplinger as a dramatic reading and »Das Frauen Triptychon« (Triptico Femenino) as a performance with victims of the armed Colombian conflict. In 2014 she was invited as a scholarship holder to the International Theatre Forum of the Berliner Festspiele. In the organization of the festival Experimenta Sur with Mapa Teatro and the Goethe Institut she worked with guests such as Gob Squad, Philipp Quesne, IIPM and many more. Since April 2019 she is assistant director at the Maxim Gorki Theater.
