Lamis Ammar was born in Akko in 1992. She moved to Haifa where she studied theatre at the University of Haifa. While studying there, she started to work in the Freedom Theatre in Jenin and then started working as film actress in short movies, and e.g. as a lead role in Sand Storm which won Sundance Festival and was invited to the Berlinale in 2016.
She worked as freelancer in several theatres and festivals in Nazareth, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Ramallah.
Beside her work as an actress she writes scripts and did several video arts for galleries in Haifa. In 2018 she won the first prize for a monodrama at the Teatroneto Theatre Festival in Tel Aviv.
