Joel T. Winter, born in Berlin in 1994, studied Film Production Design at the Zurich University of the Arts with Silke Fischer. Before that, he studied Film Studies at the Free University of Berlin. During this time, he created his first own scenographic works for commercials and music videos. In the 2018/19 season, he worked at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz as a set designer on projects by Barbara Ehnes and Markus Selg. In 2019, he assisted Jeremias Böttcher with stage design for the project Flying PicturesxOs Gemeos at Hamburger Bahnhof. Together with Karl Dietrich he works as a freelance stage and set design duo, among others with Guse&Pfrunder at the Staatstheater Kassel and the Berliner Ensemble. This year, he also created a joint scenic design work for Kim Gabbi's diploma film at the Zurich University of the Arts. In addition, he has been part of the artist collective 10997 since 2019, for which various video and graphic works have been created. As Winter&Dietrich, they are jointly designing the stage set for the production FREMD staged by Lena Brasch at the Maxim Gorki Theater.
