Originally from Naarm, Australia, Joan Ling-Li moved to Berlin in 2020 forfeiting a Masters of Psychology to pursue creative endeavours. Currently Joan Ling-Li works predominantly as a freelance Set Designer but has a range of experience in different creative fields. Joan Ling-Li has worked with the likes of Danny Elfmann, Universal Music, Gabriel Massan, Boiler Room, Vogue, Nike, Adidas, Troye Sivan, Jack Daniels, Trauma Bar und Kino, Soho House and Zalando to name a few, in projects ranging from personal art projects to music videos, fashion set lays to editorials, commercials and all things in between. Joan Ling-Li has also worked on larger installation pieces for institutions such as MAAT Portugal, Soho House Berlin, Alte Münze and Trauma Bar und Kino. Joan Ling-Lis' projects have also been featured in places such as the British Film Institute in London, Tribeca Festival in New York, Berlin Music Video Awards and other festivals around Europe
