Jens Bisky

Jens Bisky, born in Leipzig in 1966, studied Cultural Studies and German Studies in Berlin. He was features editor of the Süddeutsche Zeitung until the end of 2020 and now works as editor of the magazine Mittelweg 36 at the Hamburg Institute for Social Research. He is the author of several books, in 2019 appeared Berlin. Biography of a Great City was published. In 2017, Bisky was awarded the Johann Heinrich Merck Prize for Literary Criticism and Essay by the German Academy for Language and Literature.
