Jeanne Louët was born in Paris in 1992 and has lived in Berlin since 2012.
She studied set design at the UdK Berlin and began working as a freelance set and costume designer in theatre and film in 2018.
For the »2021 Theaternatur - Que(e)r durch den Wald« (Benneckenstein, Harz) festival, she collaborated with director Lisa Pottstock on the theatrical hike 10 Schritte, 3 Denken, 1 Witz, developed and designed in the forest ruins in the Harz, in which human perspectives about nature are discussed through eco-feminist approaches. Previously she worked on the devised piece Happy Gays at the Berliner Ringtheater and made her first virtual set on the Gather Town platform for the online project Harte Arbeit from the Gripswerke e.V.
In the autumn of 2021, she’s working on Fanny & Alexander, a production at the Schaubude Berlin. She is one of the founders and organisers of the Performances von [Weiblichkeit] in den darstellenden Künsten symposium series, which takes place at the UdK Berlin every two years.
