Herta Müller

Herta Müller, born 1953 in Nitzkydorf/Romania, lives in Berlin since 1987. The writer is known foremost for her collage technique and received numerous awards. On awarding her the Nobel prize for Literature the prize committee described Müller as author "who, with the concentration of poetry and the frankness of prose, depicts the landscape of the dispossessed." Her works are published by Hanser.
