Golnar Shahyar

The Iranian singer, composer and poetess Golnar Shahyar specialized in combining her musical roots with jazz improvised music. Despite starting relatively late with music, she established herself on international stages and festivals as musician in a short time. While making music, she studied singing, musical education and guitar at the University of music and performance in Vienna. She is working together with various international musicians to create new musical dialogues. She was nominated as singer with the formations Sormeh, Choub, Gabbeh and Golnar&Mahan as well as as solo performer on the guitar for numerous awards.
