Gian Mellone

Gian Mellone was born in Sao Paulo, Brasil in 1991. He studied acting at school of drama Sao Paulo as well as aerial acrobatics in the Brazilian Academy of Circus, Sao Paulo. Subsequently, he joined the circus ensemble Nau de Ícarus. As a freelance actor and performer, he also participated in numerous productions, e.g. directed by Cristiane Paoli Quito. In 2019, Mellone was part of Tarina Quelho’s production isto é um negro?, which was shown at the brazilian theater festival MITsp and the Proximamente festival, Brussels. In Berlin, he participated in Moritz Majce’s and Sandra Man’s performance Chora at Open Spaces Festival Berlin. After joining the Political Voice Institute, he was part of Marta Górnicka’s intervention Community: An App for One Person at Gorki Kiosk. In 2021 Gian Mellone is starring in Still Life: The chorus for animals, people and all other lives
