Enik

Enik was born in 1980 in Dachau and grew up in Munich. In 2003, he released the EP Without a bark for the Hamburgian label Wonder Records. In 2006, his debut album The seasons in between came out, followed by the EP Antenna and his second album Chainsaw Buddha. He received a Golden record for his attribution to the Album Für dich immer noch Fanta Sie of the band Die Fantastischen Vier. In April 2011 the album I sold my moon boots to a girl from Greece was released by his newly founded label studio Babushka. Since 2008, Enik is also operative as a film music producer. His work includes for example the film Wir wollten aufs Meer and Fünf Jahre Leben- the story of Murat Kurnaz. In 2014, he had the musical lead of  and was at the same time acting in  the play Woyzeck of Wilson/Waits at the Staatstheater Mainz. Similar was his work for the Volkstheater München where he composed for the play Kasimir und Karoline and also took on one of the roles. During the theatrical season 2013-2014 of the Maxim Gorki Theater he was in charge of the musical direction and composition of Hakan Savaş Mican's staging of Schwimmen Lernen. The production Schnee, which premiered in April 2015, was his sixth collaboration with the director Hakan Savaş Mican.
