Dzina Zhuk, from Belarus, *1986, MRI scholarship holder since November 2022, based in Berlin at host organisation “Dekabristen e.V.” (together with Nicolay Spesivtsev with whom she forms the art collective eeefff).
Multidisciplinary artist and tech-politics researcher, part of eeefff collective together with Nicolay Spesivtsev. Engaged in participatory art, public actions, interventions, performance, hardware and software hacking. eeefff are artistic cooperation / made-up institution / cybernetic political brigade / poetic computations / hacking unit / queer time. It is neither one of these, nor all together. Active from 2013, eeefff make software-based projects, publications, networks, and platforms that critically explore digital labour, value extraction, and community formation in Eastern Europe.
Since 2016 she has been co-organizing the annual event WORK HARD! PLAY HARD! in Minsk.
Major interests include jeopardized interfaces; emotional effects of algorithms; non-anthropocentric view towards machine intelligence; and imaginary scenarios of the present day.
Since she came to Berlin, the collective presented their work on many occasions such as Transmediale and Fusion.
