Dejan Bućin was born in 1985 in Belgrade (now Serbia), and grew up between the city of his birth, Germany and Austria. In 2002 he moved from Belgrade to Frankfurt and, while he was still in school, acted in two productions from Alexander Brill at the Schauspiel Frankfurt. In 2005 he began his acting studies at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich, where he also performed at the Metropol Theatre. He was employed at the Berliner Ensemble from 2008 to 2012. He appeared in their productions of Die Dreigroschenoper, Das Käthchen von Heilbronn, Ödipus auf Kolonos,Romeo und Julia and Der Parasit, among others. In 2009 he performed in the world première of Shakespeare's Sonnets from Robert Wilson and Rufus Wainwright.
