Daron Yates was born in Munich in 1987. From 2010-2014, he completed his acting training at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding. This was followed by engagements at the Grand Theatre du Luxembourg and the National theater Luxembourg, where he still regularly appears in leading roles in international theater productions, including in the original English versions of plays such as Killer Joe, Mister Paradise, Codename Ashcan, The Hothouse and others. Further engagements followed at the Residenztheater Munich, the Salzburger Landestheater, the Deutsches Theater Munich and the Schauspiel Köln. There he appeared in plays such as Antonius und Cleopatra, Die Vierzig Tage des Musa Dagh, HOOL, and worked with the directors Nuran David Calis, Anne Simon, Thomas Dannemann, Claire Thill, Christoph Drewitz and Andreas Gergen. In addition to spoken theater, he played in two musicals in which he took on the leading roles, the German premiere of Fack Ju Goethe and Der Schuh des Manitu by Bully Herbig. As a freelance actor, he can be seen in various film, television and cinema productions. Here he appeared in the film Nichts zu verlieren directed by Wolfgang Murnberger, as well as in Franz Xaver Bogner's series München 7, and the ARD series WAPO Bodensee, Die jungen Ärzte, Hubert und Staller and others. At Schauspiel Köln he is playing in the current 2024/25 season in the play Ein von Schatten begrenzter Raum, based on the novel of the same name by Emine Sevgi Özdamar, directed by Nuran David Calis.
