Ceren Bozkurt

Ceren Bozkurt, *1994 in Malatya, gained her first professional experience at the age of 13 at Malatya Inönü University - State Consevatory (Turkey). There she learned her first main classical instrument, the cello. Other instruments such as saz (baglama), guitar, kaval (shepherd's flute), mey duduk (wind instrument) and kabak kemane (string instrument) followed on a self-taught basis. She studied music at Erzincan University to become a teacher. She moved to Germany in 2017 for her master's degree, where she studied at the University of Hildesheim "Center for world Music" (2019 - 2022). Since then, she has worked as a freelance musician and singer at Theater Bonn and Theater Osnabrück, among others. She is performing for the first time at the Maxim Gorki Theater in the production Die Optimistinnen.
