Çağla Arıbal is a Berlin-based writer, poet, and lecturer, holding degrees in English and Comparative Literature. Her work has appeared internationally and been anthologized in magazines such as First Page, Textur, and Stadtsprachen, among others. In 2023, she won a fiction prize from the Oxford Review of Books. She has performed at literary festivals and venues, including the Runokuu Poetry Festival in Helsinki, the Haus für Poesie International Poetry Festival in Berlin, Galerie im Turm, Prachtwerk, and Lettrétage Literaturhaus. She has also worked as a translator for theater productions, most recently for Gob Squad at HAU in Berlin.Since 2020, Çağla has taught writing and literature courses at Central European University, Berlin University of the Arts, and the Volkshochschule. Her work has been supported by the Arteles Creative Center and Villa Sarkia in Finland, the Broumov Literature Residency in the Czech Republic, and the [margins.] conference organized by The Word, A Storytelling Sanctuary, in Denver, USA. She is currently working on a novel set in Berlin and Istanbul, along with a poetry collection.
