Ashkan Sepahvand was born in 1984 in Tehran. He is an author, translator and researcher. Sepahvand is a Fellow at the Gay Museum* in Berlin. His research interests focus on the history and imagination of body, senses, sexuality, solemnity, transformation, future, queeress, collectivity and ritual. His work and collaborations were presented internationally, on the dOCUMENTA (13), the Gwangju Biennial 11, the Sharjah Biennial X and XIII, the Ashkal Alwan, the Institute for Contemporary Arts London and the KW Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin. From 2012 to 2014 he was part of Das Anthropozän-Projekt as a Research Fellow at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin and is co-editor of Textures of the Anthropocene: Grain, Vapor, Ray (MIT Press, 2015). Since 2013 he has organized interventions and seminars within the framework of the »technosexual reading circle«.
