Aram Pachyan

Aram Pachyan is an acclaimed, prize-winning fiction writer of the independence generation. His first short story collection Robinson (2011) earned him the Presidential Prize for Literature. His novel Goodbye, Bird (2012) is a national bestseller and still one of the long-standing bestselling books of Armenian literature. His novel P/F (2020) received the European Prize for literature in 2021. Pachyan also has a short story collection Ocean (2014) and a collection of speeches, articles, essays and short stories If This Is Writer (2023). His works were staged as plays, operas and musical pieces. He has been a writer in residence at Fall Residency of International Writing Program of the University of Iowa, Iowa, USA in 2018 and at Villa Waldberta, Munich, Germany in 2019. Pachyan is currently teaching creative writing at TUMO center for creative technologies and works on his upcoming novel.
