Anna Dankova, born 1977, is trained as a journalist. She also studied theatre at the New Bulgarian University. She worked as a reporter and assisted Bulgarian theatre director Leon Daniel. Her first directing work Taxita, an adaptation of Jim Jarmusch's film Night on Earth, was shown at Sofia's youth theatre in 2006. Since then she has produced numerous theatre pieces, among others, the play Golem and Cosmonaut by Svetozar Georgievs, a co-production with the Red House Centre for Culture and Debate.
