Anke Sauerteig, born in Berlin in 1977, lived and worked in Madrid after her A-levels. She has been an economics researcher since 2007 and in 2010 she received her degree in economics journalism. She has devoted herself to writing books for children and youth since 2010. In 2011 she completed two plays and a screenplay.
With Modjgan Hashemian she devised the dance theatre piece I love I in 2012, which examined the conflict between Israel and Iran. Since then she has worked with the choreographer on other pieces and assisted her with artistic concerns in the projects KICK IT !, 7 sin, news as well as DER DIE DAS KÖRPER (The Many-gendered Body). In 2015 she worked as a dramaturg with Hashemian on XX-RIOTS. In 2016 two new dance productions, in which she is involved as a dramaturg, are premiering at the Academy of Arts; bodytext and in_visible.
