Andrea Belfi

Andrea Belfi is a Berlin-based Italian composer and drummer. Andrea’s distinctive sound vocabulary emerges from the interplay between his fluid drumming and his intricate electronic soundscapes. In 2024, he composed music for Ulrich Rasche’s interpretation of Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and Silvia Costa’s music/theatre piece Buffalo Gals. He was invited by Thom Yorke to open his 2019 European and North American tour with his solo live performances. He also recorded drums for Jóhann Jóhannsson's film Sicario, collaborated live and in the studio with Nils Frahm and Mouse on Mars, and extensively toured the US and Europe with legendary bassist Mike Watt (Minutemen, Iggy & the Stooges). His discography spans a broad range of solo and collaborative works. With his 2014 record Natura Morta, he crafted a sound that encapsulated his previous experiments with drums and synthesizers, creating a signature style that he has developed to this day.
