Alissa Kolbusch

Alissa Kolbusch studied stage design at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg with Prof. Wilfried Minks until 1995. Freelance since 1997, she designed stages for numerous productions by Gil Mehmert, Sebastian Hartmann, Constanza Macras, Nicolai Sykosch, Nurkan Erpulat, Gavin Quinn and David Marton in prominent Theatres across Germany and Europe such as the Schaubühne Berlin, the Burgtheater Wien, the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

She is head of set design at the Maxim Gorki Theater since the 2017/2018 season. Here she has designed the sets for numerous works including Slippery Slope, which was invited to the Theatertreffen in 2022, as well as for Hakan Savaş Mican's Berlin Oranienplatz and Berlin Kleistpark. In the 2023/24 season, she is designing the set for Muttersprache Mameloschn and Unser Deutschlandmärchen, as well as Vatermal in season 2024/25, also directed by Hakan Savaş Mican.
