Alissa Kolbusch

Alissa Kolbusch studied stage design with Prof. Wilfried Minks at the HfBK Hamburg. Freelance since 1997, she has worked as a stage, costume and set designer with numerous renowned directors, including Gil Mehmert, Sebastian Hartmann, Constanza Macras, Nicolai Sykosch, David Marton, Gavin Quinn, Volker Lösch, Nurkan Erpulat and Linus Tunström. Since the 2017/18 season, she has been head of set design at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. Here she has designed the sets for numerous works, including Slippery Slope (director: Yael Ronen), which was invited to the Theatertreffen. She has worked with director Hakan Savaş Mican for many years, designing the sets for numerous of his productions, e.g. Berlin Oranienplatz and Berlin Kleistpark at the Gorki, Der Reisende at the Grillo Theater Essen, Archiv der Sehnsüchte at Schauspiel Hannover, as well as for his most recent works: Unser Deutschlandmärchen (invited to the Theatertreffen 2025) and Vatermal.
