Agnes Lampkin

Agnes Lampkin was born in Gloucester (UK) in 1973 and grew up in England until the age of eleven. The family then moved to Switzerland. There she studied acting at the Zurich University of the Arts and took up her first engagement at the Basel Theatre in 1996. She then moved to the theatre in Jena. From 1999, she lived in Berlin and worked as a freelance actress at numerous theatres in Germany and Switzerland, performing in Berlin at the Maxim Gorki Theatre, the Sophiensäle, the Schaubühne and the English Theatre, among others. In 2019, she was part of the selection jury for the WESTWIND Festival at Oberhausen Theatre and appeared in Das Mädchen, mit dem die Kinder nicht verkehren durften (directed by Hannah Biedermann), in Florian Fiedler's production of Hase Hase and in Paulina Neukampf's Prinzessinnendramen. Since the 2020/2021 season, Agnes Lampkin has been a permanent member of the Oberhausen Theatre ensemble and has performed under the direction of Sascha Hawemann, Bert Zander, Shari Crosson, Elsa-Sophie Jach, Jeremy Nedd, Joana Tischkau, Reut Shemesh, Hakan Savas Mican and Andrea Barba. She was also co-curator of the Hundertpro Festival in Mülheim in 2022. She has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Münster Theatre since the 2022/23 season.
