Adrian Figueroa

Adrian Figueroa’s work as a theatre director has taken him to various German theatres, including Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Junges Hamburger Schauspielhaus, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. His play Aurora was nominated for the Friedrich-Luft-Prize for the best theatre production in Berlin. The production One Day I Went to Lidl was invited to the Youth Theatre Award (Theatertreffen der Jugend). Wolfgang Herrndorf's Arbeit und Struktur premiered 2023 at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and was invited to the prestigious Festival Radikal Jung in Munich. Figueroa was nominated as Young Artist of the Year 2024 in the Theater heute yearbook with the same production. His short films Anderswo (2017), Letters from Silivri (2019) and Proll! (2020) screened at Clermont-Ferrand ISFF, London Short Film Festival and International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, among others, and received several awards.
