From exile to return, a collection of verse and songs from different times and languages is presented in this staged evening of chansons. Works by Mascha Kaléko, Kurt Tucholsky, Kurt Weill tell of pain, hope and the loss of home. At the centre is the vibrant Berlin of the 1920s, which offered refuge and inspiration to many artists. Then the expulsions began and thus the end of Berlin im Licht (Berlin in the light).
