In the summer of 2014, the eviction of those occupying a theatre in the heart of Rome, the Teatro Valle Occupato, spurred Europe-wide discussions about the economic structures that are cutting back the arts. Over three years, workers in the cultural sector from all over Italy had lived out their utopia of a equal society and participation in the city through egalitarian theatre processes. On the banners they raised, they wrote: just like water and electricity, we need the theatre. The protagonists of the occupier scene are Studio Я 's guests for a conversation about the Occupato Foundation's fight and the status quo in Italy.
