In Grada Kilombas Artist-Talks werden neue Konzepte von Macht und Wissen vorgestellt. Künstler*innen, die gezwungen wurden, die Orte ihrer Herkunft zu verlassen und Grenzen zu überschreiten, gewähren Einblicke in ihre Arbeit. Künstlerische Praktiken und politische Interventionen werden hier neu gedacht. In der nächsten kosmos²-Ausgabe widmet sich Grada Kilomba im Studio Я dem Thema Fotografie. Sie diskutiert mit den eingeladenen Künstlern Muhammed Lamin Jadama aus Gambia und Krishan Rajapakshe aus Sri Lanka, ob durch visuelle Dokumentationen und Aufnahmen alternative Welten entstehen können und wie wichtig diese für unser Weiterdenken und Dekolonisieren sind.

Grada Kilomba's series of artist talks intends to create new configurations of power and knowledge. Artists who were forced to leave home, cross borders, give us an insight into their work, re-thinking artistic practices and politicalinterventions. This month KOSMOS² will be dedicated to #12 PHOTOGRAPHY. With the artists Muhammed Lamin Jadama (Gambia) and Krishan Rajapakshe (Sri Lanka), we will explore the importance of visual documentation and the ability of creating alternative worlds through images.
