Haviva Pedaya

Prof. Haviva Pedaya is a philosopher, theologian and researcher of Judaism, Mysticism, Kabbalah and Hasidism as well as a poet and an author of fiction and non-fiction books. Besides her academic work in the Department of the History of Israel and her role as head of the J.R. Elyachar Center for Studies in Sephardi Heritage at Ben Gurion University, she is a lecturer and teaches at many institutes. Haviva Pedaya has won many awards, amongst others, the Gershom Shalom Prize in 2018. With Udi Aloni she shares a long friendship and various collaborations on cultural projects and deference art.
